Project Summary: In this project, we aim to probe and characterize the polarization states of the primordial gravitational background by using the highest sensitivity measurements of the CMB anisotropies obtained by the Planck satellite. We investigate the generation of detectable signatures of the E- and B-mode  polarization at the time of inflation and dark energy domination in the evolution of the universe, focusing on the parity-violating mechanisms at cosmological scales. As both inflation and late-time acceleration requires new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics and General Relativity, the detection of parity violating mechanisms will points to the new physics responsible for their manifestation.

The objective of the project is to study the cosmic microwave background polarization states measured by the Planck Mission

Expected results:

1) The computation of the CMB polarization rotation angle power spectrum measured by Planck Mission and determining its properties under parity transformation.

2) Determining the properties of the Cosmic Birefringence induced by a quintessence field.

3) Comparative study of new inflation models for different extensions of the Standard Model.

4) Experimental determination of the CMB polarization states.
