Profile
Fundamental and advanced technological research in space magnetometry and plasmas, remote sensing and space technology. Development of special computational and treatment techniques for satellite data processing.
Objectives:
researches for the space magnetometers building
the study of the electromagnetic wave propagation ( INTERBALL, APEX and AKTIVNYI experiments).
the study of the structures induced by the geomagnetic field into the Near-Earth plasma;
PRIRODA Project: On Board Data Processing Devices.
Organizing structure:
1. ON-BOARD EXPERIMENTAL DEVICES DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING
on-board data acquisition devices;
pre-launch testing devices;
software development.

3. APPLICATIONS OF SPACE COMUNICATION
Main achievements:
several space magnetometers mounted aboard 7 satellites: space magnetometers SG-R for the measurements of the Earth' magnetic field from circumterrestrial orbits;
OnBoard Computing Device - for the infrared remote sensing spectrometer "ISTOK-1" from the complex remote sensing experiment "PRIRODA" aboard the scacecraft "MIR";
prototypes for process control systems designated for embarked experiments;
prototypes for command processor for unmanned flying microobjects;
firmware and several software development tools for microprocessor driven experimental set-ups;
software for data processing from neutron spectroscopy aboard Mars 96 mission;
software designated for satellite magnetometry data processing.
